The Impossible Girl and her Clever Boy Ch.5

The first thing both Clara and the Doctor felt was how warm the water was. The second was when the both landed hard on some type of ground. The Doctor jumped up and said, "Well that was interesting." He turn to look at a grumpy looking face of Clara.

"I've had more graceful landings," Clara said as she brushed herself off, "Wait how come are clothes aren't wet?" 

The Doctor seemed confused but then looked down at his own clothes to notice they too were dry, then he looked above them and point his sonic-screwdriver. "It seems we're in some kind of air pocket."

"But we went through water before we got in here," Clara stated, "So how come are clothes are dry now?"

"Hmmm," The doctor said as he looked at his sonic-screwdriver.

"What is it? Is it something bad?" Clara asked as she put her hand on the Doctor's shoulder.

The Doctor then turned to Clara, "No not bad, but..."

"But what?" Clara asked now start to get worried.

"It appears that the creatures know their leader is home." The Doctor said as he looked at Clara.

"Are you saying that the creatures knew you were coming?" 

The Doctor sighed, "No Clara, they knew you were coming."

"Me," Clara said, "But thats impossible I didn't even know this planet exist until today."

The Doctor looked at Clara and thought (Hmmm the girl still doesn't understand she is the definition impossible.) But said, "The name Clara, the name of this planet, this star, it's your name."

"You mean the name Oswin?" Clara questioned.

"Ok so it's your name to an extent." The Doctor said in a frustrated voice.

"Doctor," Clara said, "What's going to happen to me?"

This hit the Doctor like a bunch of bricks, "Nothing," he said, "As long as you say by my side and don't wonder off."

Clara took his hand and nodded, "Understood," Clara smiled as she said, "Besides you're a Clever boy I know you'll figure something out."

The Doctor returned her a smile and looked closer at their surroundings. In front of them was a tunnel that appeared to look like a cave.

"Well," The Doctor said, "looks like there's only one way to go." He tightened his grip on Clara's hand as they started walking.

"So let me get this strait," Clara said as the entered the cave, "We have creatures looking for me and the best idea is to go through a dark cave?"

The Doctor was about to respond when suddenly the cave seemed to glow shades of green, purple and blue. The Doctor immediately pulled out his sonic screwdriver, but the whole time never letting go of Clara's hand.

"Well that was convenient." Clara said as her eyes looked at the cavern walls. 

"Yes it was, Clara say that the lights are too bright." The Doctor said as he watched the walls carefully.

Clara gave him a questioning look, but did as he said anyway, "Um my god it's too bright in here..?" 

Despite the uncertain tone of her voice, the cave walls grew dim. The only color on the walls that remained was blue.

"Ok, what the hell is going on?" Clara asked.

"Don't you see Clara?" The Doctor said in an unfamiliar tone, "Everything is changing to your liking."

The Doctor turned to Clara, however she looked to be deep in thought to respond to him. So instead, The Doctor pulled at Clara's hand saying, "Come on let's get to the end of this tunnel."

Little did the Doctor know that both him and Clara were being followed.....
