No More Games Ch.4

Rose sat in the bakery waiting for the cake she had made to be fully cooked, she couldn't understand why that boy that had came in earlier would want a job here after the way she yelled at him. "Hey Rosie." Peeta said as he walked into the bakery, "Hi dad." Rose said gloomily. "What has gotten you so grumpy?" her father asked, "Just this stupid guy that came in asking for a job." "A guy?" her father raised an eye brow along with his question. "Shut up not like that, he's this new guy in town I guess and he wanted a job here." she said, Peeta just laughed at his daughter and said, "Not like that huh? Then why are you blushing?" This just made Rose blush more, "Shut up, look he's coming back soon and he wants to talk to you about a job here and I think you should just turn him down." Rose said. "Well why would I do that?" Peeta asked, "We could use more help around here for the later shift." "Dad your not really going to hire him are you?", "Well if he's a good worker and seems trustworthy, then yes I believe I will hire him." "Fine just wait till he gets here then, I can promise you he's not somebody you want working here." Rose said. "Why are you so against making new friends, your just like your mother." Peeta chuckled. "I just don't, ok?" Rose said. Peeta knew why she hated new people and didn't want to push it so he changed the subject, "I see you made your famous cookies, mined if I have one." He asked, "No you always eat them all!" Rose laughed, however Peeta had stolen one anyway. "Hey those-" But Rose was cut off by the bell ringing meaning someone had come in, just as he promised the boy was back.
